Varisu Getting Sidelined In U.S?

This Sankranthi Megastar’s Waltair Veerayya, Balkrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy, and Vijay’s Varisu are getting released by the same distributor, Shloka Entertainments, in the USA.

Surprisingly, Veera Simha Reddy is leading by a slight margin compared to Waltair Veerayya in terms of pre-sales. Overseas is considered a weak territory for Balakrishna, but the advance bookings show that the audience is excited to watch NBK after the blockbuster Akhanda.

In some prime areas, Veera Simha Reddy is getting 10-15 shows on premiere day. This is some sort of a new thing for a Balakrishna’s film.

Tamil fans are disappointed to see more number screens for Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya compared to Vijay’s Varisu. They are also complaining that even the screens that are being allocated to Varisu are small screens not big XD screens.

The fact Vijay fans must realize is that it is all about demand and supply. Tollywood market is much bigger than Tamil market in U.S. even though Vijay is a big star in their state. Any distributor book screens based on the market, and there is no bias towards Telugu films. In the end, it’s all about making money for any business. After the release of the movies, the situation might change completely, and Varisu can get more screens depending on the talk. We never know.
