Varudu Kavalenu Will Come Late On OTT!

Thanks to the OTT revolution, mainstream Telugu films are premiering on OTT just 4 weeks post-theatrical release. But that won’t be the case with Varudu Kavalenu, as confirmed by Naga Shaurya.

“We’ve forgotten about piracy, thanks to OTT. But we have opted to hold back on the OTT release. Varudu Kavalenu won’t be releasing on OTT anytime soon after its theatrical release,” Shaurya said while speaking at the pre-release event of Varudu Kavalenu.

Well, the makers of Most Eligible Bachelor had also announced they are holding back on the OTT release prospect. Now, Varudu Kavalenu is treading a similar path.

Varudu Kavalenu is hitting the silver screens on the 29th of this month. The Lakshmi Sowjanya directorial has Ritu Varma in the female lead role.

In a bid to revive the theatrical industry, holding back on the OTT release prospect is of great importance. This might encourage the audience to step out to watch new releases in theatres, knowing these films won’t be premiering on OTT anytime soon. But of course, that will be possible only if the film garners a positive response.
