Affectionately called as Varu by her fans, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar is reported to be entering the Telugu world by starring in the remake of a popular Tamil film. The young actress, who gained popularity with movies like Poda Podi and Madha Gaja Raja, will be next seen in the Telugu version of Manam Kothi Paravai.
The producers of the Telugu remake were in search of fresh face for the movie and chose Varu, impressed by her great performance in the debut film Poda Podi opposite Simbu. It is also said that the makers have tweaked the script to emphasize the female character.
