Venkatesh Joins Christmas Releases With ‘Guru’

Venkatesh’s next has got a title, it is getting titled as Guru in Telugu. The film is an official remake of Madhavan starrer Saala Khadoos.

Made in Tamil and Hindi originally, it is sports genre movie with the sport here being boxing. Venkatesh will play the hard-nosed, foul-mouthed coach whereas Ritika Singh will reprise her role as a boxer. The film was a very good success at box office and also won lots of accolades for main leads.

Guru will be directed by Sudha Kongara, who made the original. It’s shooting begins in few days and the makers are aiming for Christmas release later in the year. With the film too joining Christmas, the date has started to look crowded slowly. Nani’s next after Majnu and Nagarjuna’s next are in the running already.
