Recently, there’s been considerable discussion about the trend of dubbed films being released with original titles that are not in the Telugu language, without respecting the Telugu audience.
This concern reached a point where producers of Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan held a press conference to explain their reasons for not using Telugu titles.
Amid this conversation, there are rumors that the title for the much-anticipated Yash Raj Films’ War 2 is also changing.
Starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, War 2 is the sequel to the blockbuster spy film War, which featured Hrithik alongside Tiger Shroff.
Recent reports suggest that the film’s title may be modified to suit Telugu audiences’ tastes. Instead of a complete title change, there are indications that a Telugu subtitle will be added to the existing English title.
If everything proceeds as planned, the film could be titled War 2 – Yuddhabhoomi. Interestingly, this name isn’t a recent decision; it seems to have been considered even before the film’s production started.
Hrithik Roshan mentioned “Yuddhabhoomi” in a tweet during the early stages of the film’s development.
The team is reportedly aiming for a release on August 15 of next year and is working diligently to complete the film on schedule.
