Vijay Deverakonda to Take On Mahesh Babu?

Vijay Deverakonda’s maiden pan-India film Liger shoot got completed. Now, it is in music mode as they have begun the music composition process. Liger was supposed to release long back, but the US shoot featuring Mike Tyson kept delaying it.

Now that the team is done with its last leg of the shoot, Liger team is all gung ho about the release date. It is rumoured that April 1, 2022 is fixed as the tentative date for Liger release date. If this happens, then it will be locking horns with Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata.

Mahesh Babu’s SVP shifted to April from the January festive race citing RRR. Despite moving away, SVP has got the best release date. But Liger clashing with SVP may put the latter in a fix. It is unlikely that SVP will budge now. Liger is backed by Karan Johar and being a pan-India film, the team is going to up the promotions soon.

Does that mean that Vijay Deverakonda will take on Mahesh Babu? Both Liger and SVP are big-ticket films and both the actors have a good fanbase. While the pandemic is yet to settle down, box office clash is not a favourable option as it would divide the openings. Thus keeping all the factors in consideration, Liger will not coincide with SVP.
