No Hype Despite All Controversies and Hoopla

Dil Raju’s Vaarasudu (Varisu in Tamil) is going to release this Sankranthi and will clash with Telugu biggies like Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy.

Vaarasudu is surrounded by controversies mainly due to Dil Raju and his statements. The film is releasing in more theaters than Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna’s films, especially in Nizam, due to Dil Raju’s clout over the distribution circle, despite being a dubbed film. Also, Dil Raju’s recent statement about Vijay being a bigger star than Ajith sparked a controversy.

Despite all these controversies, Vaarasudu has a very low buzz among the audience. Dil Raju is hogging all the limelight, but that isn’t helping the film in any way.

Maybe due to the not-so-exciting director and Vijay’s limited market in Telugu, there is no hype for the film. The songs may have been a hit with the Tamil audience, but Telugu folks aren’t impressed much.

The film needs exceptional word-of-mouth to sustain itself against giants like Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy. It would be interesting to see how Dil Raju’s gamble pays off.
