US BO: Second Lowest for Mega Hero?

Mega hero Kalyaan Dhev’s ‘Vijetha‘ came to theatres today and opened to poor reviews. The outdated story and unimpressive performance of the lead actor couldn’t elevate the proceedings of the predictable subject seem to be the reason for the initial talk on the movie.

The movie has grossed $5,727 from the premiere shows and this figure happens to be the second lowest for a mega hero after Allu Sirish’s debut movie ‘Gouravam’ that also opened with a poor talk. If we look at the debut movies of the mega heroes, at least, half-a-dozen of them began their career with flops.

Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Akkada Ammaayi Ikkada Abbaayi’, Allu Sirish’s ‘Gouravam’, Varun Tej’s ‘Mukunda’, Sai Dharam Tej’s ‘Rey’ and Niharika’s ‘Oka Manasu’; all of them began with a flop. We will have to see how Kalyaan Dev will shape up his career as a hero in the coming days.
