My unreleased film’s DVD covers being printed’

Piracy is the biggest menace film industry in India is facing today which is digging big dent into the revenues of films and tax to be paid to the government. This time, when his film ‘Maruthu’ (Rayudu in Telugu) is ready for release, Vishal isn’t going to keep quiet.

The actor says he is sure that DVD covers and stickers of his unreleased film ‘Maruthu’ are being printed and is planning meticulously to take a course of action to catch the culprits red-handed while making the pirated copies in theatres. He is planning for a police action otherwise a press conference after catching the culprits. Vishal also complains about 24 DVDs out in the market already and makers not taking it seriously.

He is confident that ‘Maruthu’ which will be released in theaters on 19th of May, is going to be a landmark film in his career like ‘Pandem Kodi’. So he is taking a stand on piracy not only for his film’s sake but also for the larger good.
