Vizag’s IT dreams shattered by Hudhud!

The Hudhud Cyclone had almost shattered the IT dreams of Vishakapatnam City. The biggest city in Andhra Pradesh has a pleasant climate due to the close proximity of the Bay of Bengal sea. Also Vishakapatnam has good infrastructure required to house IT companies. But the dreams were all shattered by the Hudhud Cyclone, it only showed the World how vulnerable is the city to the natural calamities. The IT parks in the city which are currently housing IT companies like Cyient, IBM, Symbiosys Technologies, Softsol are now lying in debris created by the havoc. These companies are currently shutdown operations resulting in several crores loss. This effect will definitely make the upcoming investors think twice before considering Vishakapatnam as an option.

Even the IT companies which did not suffer any damage could not run their operations due to the immense damage inflicted to the power, fuel and communication networks. While the government has promised early restoration of power,fuel and phones. The internet service providers have no clue when they can get the networks running. IT industry of Vizag putting a brave face just because of Naidu being at helm, they are hoping that things will be back to normal soon.
