WAR 2 Biggest Twist Revealed: Surprise or Letdown

War 2, scheduled to release on August 14, 2025, will unite Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr. for the first time. As the sixth instalment in the YRF Spy Universe, many fans had speculated that Salman Khan’s Tiger or Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan might make an appearance in the end credits. Industry buzz had been strong on this possibility, creating high expectations among audiences.

However, sources close to the production have confirmed that neither Salman Khan nor Shah Rukh Khan will be appearing in the film. Their iconic characters will be mentioned at important points, but they will not be seen on screen. Instead, the end-credit sequence will lead directly into Alpha, the upcoming film in the franchise, setting the stage for its storyline.

Producer Aditya Chopra is holding back the much-anticipated on-screen meeting of Tiger, Pathaan, and Kabir for a bigger project currently under development. Rather than combining all three stars in a single film for the sake of fan service, he is focusing on gradually advancing the overall story of the universe.

The most surprising development is the inclusion of Bobby Deol, marking his debut in the YRF Spy Universe. War 2 will introduce him as a powerful villain whose presence will influence future events in the series. This move shifts attention from immediately building Alpha’s female leads, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, to establishing a formidable antagonist first.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 will release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The film is also set for a major box office clash with Rajinikanth’s Coolie, especially in the Telugu states, where NTR Jr.’s immense popularity could drive intense competition.
