The end of the strike is good news for all the movie lovers and entire Tamil film industry. But one particular movie unit would be thrilled by it.

We are talking about the movie Mercury starring Prabhu Deva and directed by Karthik Subbaraj that hit cinemas last week in Telugu and Hindi, but not in its home, Tamil Nadu. The film has been a washout in the two languages, and now the end of the strike has come as big unseen boon.

Mercury will be the first big and solo Tamil release after the strike. A minimum level of multiplex participation should be enough for it to make some moolah. Will the second chance benefit the unit, we will know in the coming few days.
