“I believe everything happens for good. Now, technology is much more advanced, the director is much more mature, and my market has also increased. The director wrote Twenty-five versions of the script to make sure it is updated to changing trends,” Tovino said.

We asked him if the success rate of the Malayalam film industry is high or if we are only exposed to the good side of the industry through OTT.

We also quizzed him about why the OTT rights of his last film were not sold even though he is a very credible name for the OTT players with the kind of content he has delivered.

“I do not know. Maybe they are too much into subscriptions and everything. At the same time, the Malayali population is less. Maybe delivering good movies is not enough for the OTT players,” Tovino Thomas lamented.

He spoke so highly about the Telugu film industry. “Arya was my first Telugu film. Back then, Allu Arjun’s films would be dubbed into Malayalam. He started the trend. I watch every good film in Telugu industry these days,” he said.

He also talked about the second part of Lucifer and Minnal Murali 2.

We also asked him if Empuraan (Lucifer 2) suits Chiranjeevi after having remade the first part.
