Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha‘s Kushi is releasing on September 1st globally and is carrying good hype thanks to the chartbuster songs. M9 News sat down with Director Shiva Niravana to talk about the film.
“I told this idea after Dear Comrade. It kept growing and I narrated the full story before Liger. I presented a love story around a contemporary issue. There is entertainment and as well as a light-hearted emotion unlike my previous films,” he said about the movie story.
We asked him how he handled Vijay and Samantha since Deverakonda is fresh from the Liger disaster and Samantha has health and personal problems. “Both of them are great actors. That did not bring that baggage to the sets. I was obviously scared when Samantha was unwell. We used to talk on the phone. She used to say don’t worry about the film. Kushi is my next priority after health and I will go only after completing the film. She did the same,” he said.
We also asked why the trailer sounds routine and if we can expect anything new from the film. “Every film of mine will have a World. Kushi has a world – Kashmir, Kakinada, a girl who is a Begum and Brahmin. I introduce the ambiance of that World. My responsibility is to engage the story with new scenes and beautiful emotions. You will like that beauty,” he told.
We also spoke about Kushi Runtime issues, why there are no proper promotions for Kushi, what went wrong with his previous film, Tuck Jagadish, and if Kushi has got something about inter caste marriage supersitions.
He also reveals about his next film with Naga Chaitanya with Mythri Movie Makers. Watch the full interview here:
