Watch It Online Today & in Theatres on Friday!

Like Rajinikanth’s ‘Petta’, Ajith’s movie ‘Viswasam‘ didn’t have a simultaneous release in Telugu given to Ajith’s not a very impressive market in Telugu. However, it’s coming to the theatres in the Telugu States on coming Friday and sadly, the Tamil version of the film will be available on the digital platform from today, onwards.

This is a strange case and this is a weird situation for the buyers who bought the Telugu distribution rights who planned to make a few bucks out of the Telugu dubbed version of ‘Viswasam’. If this weird situation isn’t enough, HD piracy version of the movie is already available and spreading online even before Amazon Prime aired it on the digital platform. All in all, the timing of the digital release is awful for the Telugu version.

‘Viswasam’ was a Sankranthi release in Tamil Nadu and it turned out to be a blockbuster though it was pitched against superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Petta’. It created several records in Kollywood. But, the scenario for ‘Viswasam’ has turned a very strange case when it came to the Telugu version. How will the Telugu distributors pull at least a decent number of audiences to the theatres when an online version is available with subtitles?
