When producer waited six months to sign Avika

Uyyala Jampala girl Avika has become a busy actress after the success of the film. She’s now been approached by several producers and she is finding it difficult to prioritize projects. Producer Giridhar said that he had to wait for six long months to sign her for his film “Lakshmi Raave Maa Initiki” as she was busy shooting for her debut film

The producer said that they couldn’t think of anyone else for the role. Therefore, they waited for six months to sign her. In fact when they approached her she had already started shooting for ‘Uyyala Jampala’. Avika instantly liked the script but she asked them to move on if they couldn’t wait but they had decided to cast her at all cost.

Avika, who is known for work in Hindi serial “Balika Vadhu”, emerged as a successful actress with “Uyyala Jampala”, which turned out to be the biggest low-budget Telugu hit of last year. Avika is paired with debutant Shourya in the film, which will be directed by Nandyala Ravi. The film also features Ali, Mukesh Rishi, Satyam Rajesh and Sayaji Shinde in important roles.
