Not many might remember now, but years ago, Chaitu’s arrival was planned with immense hype. He was supposed to be the next big thing with Josh. A combination of a historical turn of event and bad talk, made the debut a disaster. The actor immediately bounced back with a classic Ye Maya Chesave and following it delivered a big success 100% Love.
At that point, Naga Chaitanya was well on his way to be a top star, and the openings of Dhada proved it. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a disaster and Bezawada followed it, completely undoing all the good of his previous films. A delayed film and long gap followed. But the range was never improving due to delayed films Autonagar Surya and Sahasam Swashaga Saagipo arriving in between those decent movies and taking him back to square one.
After all these years, finally, with Premam and Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam it looks like Naga Chaitanya has at last arrived, but has he? If he can take the final total of RVC to the top among ‘second’ league heroes and open his next film to a record number in the same league, then it can be said for sure Chaitu has arrived. If any of those two fail to happen the wait continues, it is as simple as that.
