Why did Rajini skip Modi’s Swearing-in?

While Narendra Modi is taking oath as country’s 15th Prime Minister, Superstar Rajinikanth is silently shooting for his next film, Lingaa in Hyderabad. Few Tamil parties were fuming fire on Modi for inviting Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksha who was responsible for the Genocide of several Tamilians. Even the Chief Minister Jaya Lalitha skipped the event.

Rajinikanth who faced several controversy relating to this issue in the past cautiously avoided the event. His Kochadaiyaan film released last week may also have the danger of getting vandalised. So, Rajini skipped it instead sent his wife Latha on his behalf. It may be mentioned that the two had even met before the election at the Superstar’s residence.

Amitabh Bachchan and Lata Mangeshkar also missed the event for several other reasons.
