Why Kalyan Ram chose differently?

For Nandamuri family cinema and politics go hand in hand. Right from senior NTR to Jr.NTR, all the Nandamuri heroes toured and campaigned for Telugu Desham Party. Balakrishna is presently the sitting MLA of Hindupur while Hari Krishna and NTR had been active campaigners for the party. Even Tarak Ratna toured for TDP.

Hence it is natural for the audiences to believe that Hari Krishna’s second son Kalyan Ram also would be seen in political arena in future. But he happens to be the first Nandamuri hero to say that he isn’t interested in politics. The reason he says is that he doesn’t know anything in politics. And he explains himself correctly when he says that he would like to enter only that field he knows.

Besides acting, Kalyan Ram is presently concentrating on expanding his production house by producing films with other heroes as well. That’s the reson why he is coming up with ‘Kick 2’ with Ravi Teja and Surender Reddy combo playing only a producer and not involved in the star cast of the movie. He rightly says, “Films are my bread and butter”.
