Why the Malaysian Martial Arts Institute Approached Taapsee

Taapsee Pannu’s previous two releases in Bollywood had one thing in common. Guess what? They dealt with women power. ‘Naam Shabana’ showed Taapsee as a powerful woman who was trained in martial arts as the part of becoming a spy.

To get into the skin of the character as a spy, the actress got trained in real martial arts in Malaysia. One of the martial arts institutes approached the actress with a business deal. They want her to be the ambassador of their school. The actress didn’t give her nod yet.

This is something really inspiring as the actress has made an impact by the choice of her roles. Taapsee’s role in ‘Pink’ had been a game changer for the actress. Since then, she is getting offers to portray strong characters. She didn’t limit herself to glamorous roles. The Malaysian offer shows how she is considered an icon to convey women power.
