Pooja Hegde, who was initially set to play the lead in Guntur Kaaram, reportedly stepped out of the film due to various issues, including date conflicts and dissatisfaction with the way things were proceeding3.
Now it is clear that the decision to remove Pooja Hegde from Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram and replace her with Sreeleela was a bad one.
While Pooja created an unforgettable impression in Trivikram’s last film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Sreeleela couldn’t create even a minimum impact.
Trivikram was a bit reluctant to cast Sreeleela in place of Pooja Hegde in the film but had to bow down to the hero’s demands.
Sreeleela has seen all ups and downs within a span of one year in her career. She acted from top heroes to tier-2 heroes and even newcomers. Now she has to get roles based on her talent hereon. She has to work a lot and improve her acting chops as she can no longer rely only on her strong dancing skills.
Pooja Hegde’s absence is being missed a lot in the industry now. Irrespective of her success rate she was a suitable heroine for all-tier heroes. She still has immense popularity, fan following, and demand as the leading lady.
On the other hand, there are talks that Pooja has some attitude issues because of which she is being sidelined in the industry.
Whatever might be the reasons, the industry needs talented and beautiful heroines with great fan following. It might be the ideal time for Pooja Hegde to make a kickass comeback.
