Will Nag’s Calculative Risk Yield Another 50 Cr?

King Akkineni Nagarjuna has been on a roll post the massive debacle of the film Bhai. He vowed then that he won’t do any film which he is not happy with. He would rather wait than do a film just for the sake of it. The result of this decision is Manam, Soggade Chinni Nayana, and Oopiri’s success.

After those hat-trick successes, the actor signed a devotional film Om Namo Venkateshaya. This will be seen beyond the box office. All eyes were on the next commercial project of Akkineni Nagarjuna and he has once again thrown a surprise. The star has selected an Ohmkar film over many other directors of repute.

Today, Raju Gari Gadhi 2 has been launched which will be directed by Ohmkar. This is again a risk taken by the star but it is also a very calculative move. The first part of the film is immensely popular among masses. It means a sequel is bound to get a big opening. Another aspect of interest here is a horror cum thriller comedy genre. This genre has been hugely popular for the past few years but no top hero has done a film in this genre. It gives a fresh appeal to the sequel.

Keeping all these things in mind and if by chance Nagarjuna opts for a big festival release like Dushera, Raju Gari Gadhi 2 could be huge without any doubt, with a potential of 50 Cr. Will Nag’s risk pay off?
