Will Over Publicity Become Negative For GG?

There is a saying in industry, no publicity is bad publicity, and it is mostly correct. However, sometimes when there is negativity in an over-publicised way, it affects the positivity. With Geetha Govindam, one feels it is entering into that zone.

The publicity for the movie kicked off with the social media conversation of lead pair in their characters. It was a good idea, and the posters and first single made sure that movie caught the interest of the target audience. The teaser further sealed the deal.

However, the idea to hammer the “Hero’s” persona or the character from the movie and the subsequent “What The F” song has slightly dampened the spirits. There is a widespread criticism on the team for crossing the line on female bashing and bias. The “youth” should still not mind, but a section is likely to stay away that could restrict the final numbers if the movie gets further promoted along the same lines.

The audio launch is going to happen tonight. Stylish Star is going to be the chief guest. Let us see, if Vijay Deverakonda and the “Chief Guest” maintain calm or they further add to the controversy which they have a knack for, based on the past incidents.
