Will Poor Audio Affect Maharshi?

Three songs from Maharshi has been released, and the response to them has been progressively weaker. The first one appears the best now, even though it was no great shakes itself. The question on everyone’s mind right now is will the poor audio affect the box office performance of Superstar Mahesh Babu starrer Maharshi?

The answer to it is simple, no. There won’t be any massive loss of interest among the audience just because the audio is weak. There is still a song or two left, among which one is said to be an inspirational number. Maybe Devi Sri Prasad could give something credible there. All it requires is one buzzing song for the rest to be forgotten.

But, and this is something we say time, and again, chartbuster audio would have helped amplify the buzz surrounding the movie. A star hero film will open well as long it is commercial and promoted at a decent level. Better promotion, hot casting and blockbuster audio, a combination of these various factors further propels the numbers. It matters when one is looking for a record opening. Otherwise, none of those is an issue barring the content which needs to be good.

Maharshi additionally has the advantage of 25thmovie hype which is utilised neatly by the makers. Vamsi Paidipally directs the commercial entertainer with a message starring Mahesh Babu, Pooja Hegde, and Allari Naresh. Maharshi hits screens worldwide on May 9th.
