Will Radha Be First Success Post Baahubali 2?

Unlike Bollywood which is struggling to get the audience interested in new movies, Tollywood doesn’t seem to be having that much problem. It has a notable film coming to cinemas every week. The first one of them is Radha starring Sharwanand.

Sharwanand had a superb beginning to the year with his film Shatamanam Bhavati turning out to be a blockbuster. It was his second consecutive success for Sankranthi festival. The big success has given a great fillip to his career but is that enough to draw the audience in for Radha?

The biggest challenge Radha or any other film faces right now is Baahubali 2. Can any film make audience interested in its wake is the real question? In Bollywood the answer is an outright yes, in fact, the new movies are not able to get required screens. But that is not the case in Telugu as new films are getting decent screens and the occupancy too is better compared to Hindi movies.

Sharwanand has survived the previous big clashes. He doesn’t have a clash but a more major challenge in his hands. If he can get the initial going, it will surely be a big plus for him going forward. If it doesn’t, well, we have to wait for next week’s release.
