Will Telugu actress fee be slashed?

Following the decision to cut the salary of all actress, who don’t appear for the promotions of their films in Tamil industry, it is likely that Telugu industry too is soon to follow suit. After the Tamil Film Producer’s Council welcomed new president filmmaker Keyar, lot of changes have been introduced.

According to the new rule of the council, 20 percent from actresses remuneration will be set aside and handed over to them only after they attend the audio launches and promotions of their films. This clause is likely to be introduced going forward in all contracts of actresses. Failing to adhere to the aforementioned points will result in holding back of the 20 percent fee.

Now, since most southern actresses act in Telugu and Tamil as well, the question is whether Telugu industry will also adapt similar step to ensure that actresses don’t miss audio launches and promotions of their film
