Mall Bought for Rs.1,785 Crores

The real estate industry in the country is booming? One side experts saying real business is down trending and on the other side the record prices fetched by some properties may wonder each individual to believe above statement. Mumbai based Carnival group acquired Elante Mall in Chandigarh for whooping Rs.1,785 Crores.

Elante mall is commercial real estate venture of L&T in Chandigarh. The mall spreading over 20 acres in Chandigarh prime area is the largest mall in the North India excepting NCR region. The 1.5 million square ft retail space hosts premium national and international brands along with a mix of hypermarket, departmental stores, Sports Bar, Bowling alley.

Few days back Abbott India Ltd., bought Godrej Properties 4.35 lakh sq ft commercial space at its Bandra-Kurla Complex for Rs 1,480 crore. In less than days of time, the record has been broken by Carnival Group with its recent acquisition in Chandigarh..
