Blockbuster Hero, But Film Forgotten?

South Indian Cinema is ruling the roost in Indian cinema at this moment. Every year we have been witnessing multiple South Indian films that have been able to impress the Indian audience and generate huge revenues.

One such example from Kannada cinema is KGF, which had Yash in the lead role. But despite the tremendous success of this film, Yash could generate very little traction of his own at an individual capacity.

Yash is supposed to arrive on the screen again with his next film Toxic, which was originally announced for release in March, but got pushed to June.

Despite the fact that Yash is a pretty big deal in Kannada cinema, thanks to KGF mania, there is very little going in favour of Toxic at this point. The film has virtually zero anticipation outside Karnataka.

Generally, when a blockbuster as big as KGF happens, the hero gets a lot of attention and enjoys elevated markets. But sadly, in the case of Yash, that is not replicating for Toxic.

We have now arrived at a point where many audiences have even forgotten the existence of this film of Yash. Such as the lack of excitement reported till now.

Yash has no one else to blame himself as he decided to go with an unconventional choice of director Geetu Mohandas, after delivering an iconic commercial film with Prashanth Neel. The disparity is blatant here and that is reflecting in the fate of the film.
