Young Hero Joins TFI’s Spy Obsession, Faces Stiff Competition

A new film announcement from actor Nikhil was made on the occasion of India’s 75th Independence Day. It belongs to the spy genre, which seems to be the latest obsession of the Telugu film industry.

The yet-untitled film referred to as Nikhil 19 is the fourth spy film under production in Telugu. We have the sequel of Goodachari, Kalyan Ram’s Devil, Akhil’s Agent and now this. It all started with Adivi Sesh’s Goodachari that came in 2018. It was followed by Gopichand’s Chanakya in 2019.

The main thing to remember here is that most, if not all, would be arriving in cinemas in 2022 itself. Apart from the three mentioned above, there is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, Sardar, starring Karthi. It means there would be heavy competition to grab the attention. The audience will feel the overkill, and only the best will survive.

The good thing for Nikhil19 is the director. Popular editor Garry BH makes his debut with the movie. He has been associated with many thrillers as editor in the past, which also includes Goodachari. The experience would definitely come in handy.

Nikhil is currently awaiting the release of 18 Pages and Karthikeya 2. The spy thriller is a good choice and helps him keep continuing the versatile and unique subject selection.
