
Venkaiah Naidu appreciated the Akkineni family for honoring ANR by setting up his statue in the studio. He spoke highly about ANR’s great personality, discipline, and humble nature. He recalled his conversations with ANR and commended the late actor’s contribution to Telugu language and cinema. “ANR is the only actor who acted till his last day. In any field, certain values should be followed. The present generation should adopt those qualities.”
Naga Chaitanya, who shared the screen with his grandfather in Manam stated that the creative risks taken by his grandfather is a case study for students in film schools, and he also is a student learning from his grandfather’s films.
Nagarjuna said, “The world knows him as a remarkable actor who gave us memorable films and won several awards. He continues to be loved by Telugu people. As a family, we knew him as someone who filled our hearts with love. We are happy to install the statue at his favorite place of Annapurna Studios. We feel that he is with us now.”
