Nagarjuna Is My Big Brother: Karthi

Karthi and PS Mithran of Abhimanyudu and Hero fame are coming up with a spy thriller, Sardar releasing on October 21st as Diwali Special. It is an Annapurna Studios release in AP and Telangana. King Nagarjuna is the Chief Guest for the film’s Pre-release event. Making the event special, Karthi danced on stage live and also sung Nagarjuna’s classic chartbuster, Kannullo Nee Roopame from Ninne Pelladutha amid huge cheer from the fans.

Speaking at the event, Karthi expressed his respect and gratitude towards Nagarjuna for all the help and being like a big brother. “Sardar is a very special movie in my career. I acted as father and son for the first time. Spy’s role in this is very special. It is the story of a hero who worked for the country without expecting anything.I am proud of doing it. It is the costliest film in my career. Sardar is like a festival cracker. The movie is releasing on October 21st. Everyone should definitely watch it in the theater and enjoy it,” he said.

Nagarjuna is in all praise for Karthi. “It is not easy to come out of the shadows when your brother is a Superstar. Karthi – Suriya are like Pawan Kalyan and Chiranjeevi, Shivanna and Puneeth Rajkumar. Karthi has done a variety of films and became a superstar like Suriya. We did Oopiri together. Since then, me and Karthi became so close. Annapurna Studios is very proud to present Sardar,” he said.
