Once celebrated as a maestro of comedy films, Srinu Vaitla delivered some blockbuster commercial films with the cleanest comedy that is enjoyable even today. But then, he found himself trapped in a disheartening bad phase. His once-revered status as a director of blockbuster comedies had crumbled, replaced by a string of underwhelming films that left both critics and fans disappointed.

It all began with a misguided attempt at a high-budget action extravaganza, Aagadu in 2014 and continued till date. After his last hit, Baadshah, he delivered four flops. The audience that had once adored his unique humor grew skeptical, and the industry began to doubt his abilities.

In the face of adversity, Srinu Vaitla took some time off. He is back on his feet taking time for self-reflection. It was during this period of introspection that he realized the need to return to his roots—comedy. Comedy had always been his strength, and it was what had catapulted him to stardom in the first place. He is doing a film with Gopichand right now and the movie is on floors right now.
