24×7 monitoring on Hyd Cabs & Autos

In the wake of recent rape incident in Uber Cab in Delhi, Hyderabad Police have become alert on the safety of women using cabs and Autos in the city. Hyderabad and Cyberabad Police are planning to implement ‘Geo Fencing’ system for cabs to track cabs boarded by women. In this, a small system like a tab will be installed in the cabs in which passengers have to enter their details as soon as they board it.

Then the cab will be tracked by a call center till the passenger reaches her destination safely. If the call centers senses trouble with the cab movement, it will immediately alert the nearby Police station.

Hyderabad and Cyberabad Police are mulling to implement this system very soon with out burdening treasury of Police some way or other. They want to implement this for cabs in the first phase and later extend it to Autos too. If implemented, Hyderabad will be the first city to have such system in place.
