24×7 Power to Be a Reality in Telangana from Feb 2018

Telangana is all set to be the first state in the country to supply electricity 24 hours a day to all sectors as the state government is gearing up to give 24X7 Power to Agriculture. Telangana Transco has already started trial supply in Medak, Karimnagar, and Nalgonda districts.

Transco would start supplying power to all sectors including farmers without any break from Rabi season which starts in February 2018. This is a big achievement for the state which is power deficit. 24X7 Power Supply to farm sector will have a 25% increase in the overall power demand.

To ensure continuous supply, the Transco has decided to speed up the Bhadradri Thermal power project and set a target to synchronize it in December 2017. The state government is also indulging in massive Power Purchases to meet the demand.
