A Dictionary of Telangana Telugu

Telugu University has taken a project which will come up with a dictionary for Telangana Telugu Words. The project is expected to take three years of time and is intended to publicize Telangana Telugu in the people. This language is currently existing only in the interior districts of the state and the intention is to make it global.

There are thousands of words spoken only in Telangana. The effort would be to include them all in the dictionary. The Telugu University will conducting extensive research for this dictionary and will also consult Language experts, literary greats from Telangana, community leaders, people living in interior areas and villages and various stakeholders to make it complete.

Besides this dictionary project, the University is also taking up three big projects – History of Telangana, History of Telangana Literature, and History of Telangana Culture – which will come out in book form. These projects will have all information relating to the history, geography, socio-economic conditions, art and culture, tourism and temples etc of the state.
