AC Bills of Ministers increasing heat for Telangana!

As the temperatures are soaring in Summer, General Administration Department of Telangana is being flooded with several proposals from the state ministers and officials for additional air conditioners at their residential quarters.

Recently Air Conditioners worth 19 Lakh were purchases for five ministers’ quarters. Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy incurred 3.75 Lakh costs, Agirculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy 5.85 Lakh, Irrigation Minister Harish Rao forest minister Mr Jogu Ramanna and finance minister Mr Etela Rajender billed 3 Lakhs each for ACs.

Several such proposals are pending with GAD. Several Senior IAS officers of principal secretary level are also seeking additional ACs to beat the summer heat. GAD is planning to install centralized ACs in some departments to save the costs incurred.
