ACB ignored vital points in Revanth Reddy’s case!

Telangana’s Anti Corruption Bureau which executed a sensational sting operation which may be the first of its kind in the country in Revanth Reddy’s case seem to have missed some key points in this case.

Firstly, it is mandatory for ACB to take the permission of Election Commission to trap a people’s representative when the model of code conduct was in force in view of the MLC polls. And the second one is that ACB is not allowed to use the evidence provided by a third party.

In the present case, independent MLA Elvis Stephenson’s own I-phone was seized by the ACB. Most importantly, the Telangana ACB also failed to protect the audio video tapes from leakage which is a criminal breach of trust and also points political intervention in the case at many points.
