Administration shift to miss deadline!

The administration shift from Hyderabad to Amaravati is mostly missing the June 27th deadline. The government was informed that most departments which will not get office space in the interim secretariat have finished renting buildings in Vijayawada and Guntur but then the interior works in those buildings are delaying things now.

Sources say it will take 3-6 weeks to complete the shift. Only nominal number of offices have completed all the works to shift by June 27th as planned by the government. Things are not very different at the interim secretariat in Velagapudi as incessant rains are disturbing works like laying roads, water pipelines, sanitation lines etc.

But the interior works inside the buildings are going on. The government will now complete the administration shift from June 27th to August end in several phases. The offices under Section 9 and 10 of Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act will be shifted only after the controversy on the division of assets and liabilities is solved.
