After a Brief Romance, BJP Tries to Hit TRS Hard

For the first time after 2014 elections, BJP had made a serious attempt to make inroads into Telangana’s Political Sphere. Even after Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhara Rao went from calling Narendra Modi a fascist to Country’s Most Loved Leader, BJP took TRS on one of the most controversial issue i.e., Hyderabad Liberation Day and deployed Party President Amit Shah to hit the ruling party hard.

BJP tried to corner the ruling party by playing the speeches of KCR during the agitation days when he demands the then governments to celebrate the Liberation Day officially. Amit Shah minced no words in criticizing the government which convenient forgets that and calls the liberation day as a merger day, a soft term to play safe with MIM and Muslim Minorities. Amit Shah went on to say that Telangana public voted for KCR not Owaisi.

However, the ruling party did not take the issue lightly. KCR’s daughter, Kavitha straight on the record said BJP is trying to play communal politics in the state but can never succeed with Telangana People who are well aware. ‘Communal’ Comment is a serious allegation anyone can make on BJP. At the same time, there are allegations from BJP that the government tried its level best to tone down the media coverage of the event.
