Air India Passengers Miss Tragedy @ Vizag

What could have been a major disaster was averted due to the pilot’s presence of mind. An Air India flight from Vizag to Hyderabad faced a mid-air emergency but was safely handled by the crew.

The flight took off at 2.20 pm from Vizag. During the journey, a bird hit one of the wings, causing visible damage. The situation was tense, but the pilot reacted quickly and turned the aircraft back.

Thanks to the prompt action, the flight landed safely in Vizag with all 103 passengers unharmed. Air India is now arranging alternate travel for the stranded passengers.

Bird strikes have long been a risk for flights, and such incidents have occurred several times in the past. Birds hitting aircraft mid-air remain a serious safety concern.

With Air India already under scrutiny due to recent technical issues after the Ahmedabad crash, this successful emergency handling came as a much-needed relief for the airline.
