All Is Not Well with T-Hub?

Telangana’s IT Incubator which is being elevated as the next big thing in the country by the state government, opened its door opened seven months ago. However the inmates of the T-Hub complain that things are not up to the level of the expectations and promises. The complaints are mostly about Steep rates, lack of room to expand teams and a ‘virtually absent’ and inaccessible network of mentors.

The start-ups that are already present in T-Hub are suffering from severe space crunch to expand their team. Even if they manage the space, the T-Hub charges are too high for them to afford. So some companies are deploying nominal employees in T-Hub and is setting up another team at some other place which is bringing communication problems.

The mentors who were assigned to the start-up companies are being too far from them. The mentors are only accessible to portfolio companies which T-Hub has taken 2-3% equity. The promises of customized mentoring and market access programmes is too far. Hope IT Minister KTR will look in to the issue.
