Alternate Arrangement for Khairathabad Ganesh This Year

It is already known to our readers that Khairathabad Ganesh Utsav Committee dropped its decision at the last minute. A 66 feet statue was planned this year on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of Khairathabad Ganesh Utsava Committee formation.

The committee has made an alternate arrangement now. Khairathabad Ganesh well known for its height in the state is going to bless as ‘Dhanvanthri Ganapathi’ on this pandemic time to protect all from the Coronavirus. A 27 feet clay idol will be put up this year. The Utsav Samithi decided not to go for any immersion procession.

The statue will be immersed by pouring water on the idol at the same place it was put up. The statue will be put up at the same place as every year and all the rituals will be conducted like every year. That will mean that there will be no Hungama of devotees standing in serpentine queues to have the darshan of the Lord.

Vinayaka Chaviti falls on August 22nd this year. Let us all pray to the almighty that the Coronavirus curve will flatten at least by then.
