Sacred Assembly, People’s Secretariat, Temple of Justice

Andhra Pradesh is still in search of right designs for the iconic buildings proposed in its upcoming Capital. RDA Harris, a design group, based in Kuala Lumpur entered the fray and came up with designs for the government buildings. The representatives of the group made a power point presentation to Chief Minister the other day.

The designers named the Assembly as Sacred Assembly, secretariat as People’s Secretariat and High Court as Temple of Justice. The designs reflect Telugu culture and Buddhism which was said to be prevalent in the area in the past. The company also presented the aerial view of the entire construction which will be spread over 900 acres.

RD Harris Company previously has the experience of taking part in the design of Putrajaya City. Putrajaya is an artificially created waterfront city while Amaravati will have a natural advantage, the company representatives said. The designs of the iconic buildings are likely to be finalized by this year end.
