Amaravati Survives Another Hit Job By Jagan

The Supreme Court crushed another hope of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to decimate Amaravati.

Jagan Government created the R5 Zone in Amaravati. The government has prepared house sites in 25 layouts across various villages in the R5 Zone, specifically allotted to beneficiaries from Guntur and NTR districts.

Amaravati farmers opposed this move because the layouts were intentionally planned in a way to disturb the Amaravati Master plan. The layouts make the Master Plan unimplementable even if the Government changes in 2024.

Andhra Pradesh High Court found merit in the farmers’ argument and issued a stay in the distribution of house sites in the R5 Zone of Amaravati.

Andhra Pradesh Government appealed in the Supreme Court and the bench of Justice Sanjeev Khanna and Deepankar Dutta heard the matter today.

The Bench adjourned the matter until April 2024. That means the issue will be taken up only after the elections in Andhra Pradesh.

It is known that the Supreme Court also adjourned the matter of the Vishakapatnam shift until April.

That means the new Government will decide the future of Amaravati and that too after the legal battle.
