Ex minister and YSRCP leader Ambati Rambabu got bail and is expected to be released from jail by Thursday morning. On Tuesday, Ambati was given bail in 36 cases pending against him regarding usage of unprintable language against Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
However, prior to his getting the bail, the Guntur police shifted him from Rajahmundry jail to Guntur on PT warrant. This was regarding a case filed on Ambati by Pattabhipuram police on November 12 following his dharna against the government’s decision to build medical colleges in PPP model.
The Guntur Excise Court granted bail to Ambati Rambabu with conditions in the Guntur dharna case on Wednesday. With this, Ambati got bail in all cases levied against him.
He is likely to be released on Wednesday evening or Thursday morning as he is stationed in Rajahmundry jail. His daughters have aggressively lobbied for their father’s release, even going to the extent of raising the caste equation garnering public support.
