KTR Hits Back at Amit Shah’s Ambedkar Remark

BRS working president KTR has hit out at Union Home Minister Amit Shah for his comment on Babasaheb Ambedkar. Amit Shah had said in Parliament that talking about Ambedkar has become fashionable.

KTR took on the Union Home Minister for his rude comment. KTR said people speak about Ambedkar as he has done good for the country.

KTR pointed out that he was unlike BJP people who are obsessed with religion. The saffron party chants the religion mantra at every given opportunity and has created fanatics in the country, said KTR.

Why should one refrain from speaking about Ambedkar, questioned KTR. He did good for the people without thinking about self. With his intelligence and skills, Ambedkar could have settled anywhere in the world. But he chose to stay here.

Today, if I ask my friends abroad about returning to India, they say they are happy abroad. Even when I was in the US, I tried to understand if there were reservations only in India or else where in the world.

I learnt that the US has something called affirmative action. It was started in 1950s, 60s. They started it to give reservations for the blacks who are not as developed as the white people.

We talk of the US as an advanced nation. But there are reservations in education and jobs even in the US. The reason I am bringing it up is if one understands the Indian constitution properly, then they will not talk such loose talk, said KTR.
