Andhra Pradesh is preparing for the upcoming local body election, which are barely a few days from now and the numbers regarding the same is starting to grab the attention already.
Now, one of the leading and reputed survey channels have presented their numbers regarding the Andhra Pradesh local election battle and here’s a look into it.
The Chanakya survey agency that is historically known for presenting accurate numbers regarding the election trends has projected an NDA wave in Andhra Pradesh again in the upcoming local election.
It is published by this outlet that the TDP would be winning 46.9% of the votes while YCP is restricted to 35%. The Janasena party is likely to post around 9% while the BJP will be around 3%.
If we compare these numbers to the earlier vote share in the assembly election, it can be said that the YCP has lost nearly 5% of the voter base. But this can’t be a like for like comparison as the local body elections are always going to be in favour of the ruling government.
In terms of municipalities and chairmanships, the NDA is projected to clean sweep Andhra Pradesh and it is going to come down only to the seat sharing aspect between the ruling alliance parties.
If this projection is anything to go by, it can be understood that the credibility of the NDA alliance has gone further even two years after the election. It must be a tough time to sustain for the YCP ecosystem.
