AP Media Switches from TDP to YSR Congress Effortlessly

Media seems to be a very volatile system in our state. It is just around a fortnight since the results have arrived and the media had already switched the sides. Most of the channels and News Papers which supported TDP until recently are heaping praises on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

One Channel which is usually in the Top-3 is almost praising Jagan as the good thing that has ever happened to Andhra Pradesh. This just reveals how much the media houses in Andhra Pradesh are dependent on the revenue of the Advertisements given by the State Government.

Jagan is also effectively delivering the message to the media houses. All the Government advertisements are going to Sakshi even at the expense of ignoring Eenadu which is the largest circulated daily in Andhra Pradesh. According to the rules, the Government should give ads to all the media houses basing on their circulation or viewership.

But then, the rule is barely followed in any government and as a result, Media has become the puppets in the hands of those in the Power. Jagan who has been singing sermons to the media on ethics and journalism values since the election results is also trying to arm-twist the media with Advertisements.
