Rajya Sabha Probables As 4 Seats To Fall Vacant: AP

Four Rajya Sabha seats are set to fall vacant in Andhra Pradesh, triggering fresh political activity. With a strong majority in the Assembly, Chandrababu and his coalition partners are expected to play a decisive role in selecting the next members.

Speculation is already growing around possible candidates from the three parties that form the NDA. Names from TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP are doing the rounds as internal discussions and negotiations continue.

From the TDP, senior leaders Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Varla Ramaiah, Galla Jayadev, and Chintakayala Vijay Kumar are reportedly under consideration. Their experience and party standing place them among the key contenders.

In Jana Sena, there is strong talk of the party seeking its first Raya Sabha seat. The name being discussed most prominently is Lingamaneni Ramesh, as the party looks to strengthen its presence at the national level.

The BJP may also secure a seat depending on NDA seat-sharing arrangements. Election-related talks are still underway, and clarity is expected only as the election window draws closer.

Across the country, around 73 Rajya Sabha members will complete their terms between March and November. While Andhra Pradesh will see four vacancies, Telangana is expected to have two. Buzz suggests ruling parties in both states may benefit.
