AP Registers Stunning Growth Rate says CAG

A few days ago, when Budget session is on, Opposition Leader Jagan Mohan Reddy ridiculed the government’s claim of 13% Growth Rate. He went on to ask how a state without Capital and with a huge deficit could manage the growth rate more than the country average.

Jagan questioned how Chandrababu registered growth rate on par with developed states like Gujarat and joked if he does some magic. But then, Controller and Auditor General (CAG) backed the claims of the state government.

CAG in its annual report confirmed that Andhra Pradesh is registering a growth rate of over 13% in the last two years. In 2014-15, the growth rate is 13.75% (National Growth Rate – 10.78%) while in 2015-16, the growth rate is 13.22% (National Growth Rate – 8.71%).

The GSDP of the state after the bifurcation despite several adverse conditions is growing steadily. This is a testimony that Chandrababu Naidu is leading the state in the right direction. Jagan will be in trouble if the government projects this in the right direction.
